I've tried to rollback realtek universal service and realtek ASIO, but they didn't work. I've seen many people with ASUS notebooks complain about 9780 driver. Maybe I should calm and wait for a new update (e.g. 9800.1) from ASUS. Thank you for sharing.
It could be the other realtek software components as you really have to roll back the drivers. In my case, I wouldn't have known the mic was not working. It was more because I have a app called ManyCam, usually it starts up and minimizes but in this case, it started up and then complained the mic was disabled so what I did was uninstalled the Waves software component and also the Realtek Drivers and Software Component and then started first using the Dell provided Realtek UAD Driver from 2020 and added Waves software component which is what my system uses as it doesn't have the Realtek Hardware Support Accelerator and everything worked, then I actually upgraded the Realtek UAD Drivers and the Realtek Software Components, only a few needed updates and it broke the mic so the way to do it was to rollback each thing in the software components and in my case, it was the first item at the top of Device Manager, the APO. 100% of the time, I only test to see if the audio output is working, I never test if the mic works or not unless I needed to use the mic and it didn't work but I never use the mic 99% of the time.Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. I tried 13.1.6000.1076 and 13.0.6000.1167 but they neither worked. Thanks for your help.

hello Dictation
please contact Asus support and report such problems to them so that they could issue a new driver for your laptop that may fix/resolve the problems

If all those don't work, then you basically have to get it back to whatever versions of the above and Realtek Audio driver that works and as erpster96 mentioned, report the problem to ASUS. So if a older Realtek UAD Audio Driver works with the latest of the above, then it's the UAD Audio Driver at fault.

You have to literally roll back everything one by one:

Thanks for both of you. i've sent a report and decided to stay on 9775.1 to wait.
