Just for fun, I went back to check the old thread about Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi software Version 23.xxx WHQL. Back in the day, you'd see the driver pop up on Windows Update, and then you'd be waiting over a month for Intel to graciously drop the same version on their website. Now? That gap is down to less than two weeks... funny how that timing lines up with some "community leaks," huh?
Honestly, I think this is not related to that if you consider that the driver was compiled and certified on February 12, 2026.
It's more baffling that Microsoft distributes the driver always earlier than Intel, which is normally not the case.
Partly MS keeps distributing "older" drivers, because they have a mechanism in place, "deciding" that an older driver is more suitable.
In this particular case, I think this is a hotfix for a regulatory update in India.
Cheers
Tom
