Re: NVME USB drives Realtek RTL9210/RTL9220 Firmware Version 1.xx

Hello Admin,I have another question. I own an SSD named Fikwot FN970 (which is essentially the same as the Fanxiang S770) using an Innogrit IG5236 controller and YMTC NAND. I also have an SSD enclosure branded ITGZ, which uses the Realtek RTL9210B controller with firmware version 1.34.29.When I connect the SSD to the enclosure and plug it into my computer, the drive is not recognized. However, when I cross-test by putting the same SSD into a ROG enclosure or using a WD SN5000 SSD with the ITGZ box, everything works normally. So my question is: does the RTL9210B controller have compatibility issues with the Innogrit IG5236? Or is it possible that I’m not using the correct firmware for the enclosure to properly detect this SSD?Thank you in advance for your support!

Hi, there are two possibilities: either the SSD disk firmware has a bug and therefore update it, or try the latest firmware because the firmware allows support for new SSDs or corrects compatibility problems.

10 hours 17 minutes agoIt's a bad idea to use a very hot SSD as a portable drive. There may simply not be enough power from the USB or the DC-DC converter on board.enclosure to properly detect this SSD

As Shonk said, all you have to do is install the latest firmware.
