@admin @Shonk
I got 2 UGREEN 40GBPs enclosure's that use the asm2464 chip's and I was wanting to get longer cables as the cable that came with mine is really short,I was wondering either if of you guys has ordered any aftermarket 40GBPs cable's that are longer, the reason I ask is because I know ordering usb cables can be hit or miss when it comes to finding a good brand.
I think I also read something about not going past 30CM in length with 40GBPs is that correct.
These are the enclsorue's I got.

I was about to ask the same question, have purchased too many usb 4 extension cables anywhere from 0.3 to 1m and 1.5 and none of them detect my colorii MC40 with latest firmware and latest usb4 AMD drivers.
I even tried an 1 .5 ugourd usb c to usb c intel chipset certified cable and it was hit and miss but so close...
I think I won't bother with extension cables anymore, as a last ditch attempt I may try and find the shortest usb 4/intel thunderbolt 4 certified cable and give it a try.
The only cable that has worked is a very short 13cm cable this one here , it always detects the MC40 device and runs at full speeds but its 13cm and too short, plus my usb 4 port is behind the PC not in front.
Otherwise it maybe a case of us requiring an actual thunderbolt 4/usb4 dock with power supply?, but its overkill for myself since I just want to use usb 3.1 flash drives and 1 usb 4 enclosure with it.
If I have any updates Ill post here.

I found the 20 or 30cm cable that came with my enclosure
that is supposed to work at 40gbps didnt work on my 11950H
gen2x2 instead of gen3x2
ended up using 10cm flat cables it operates at 40gbps now (gen3x2)
so no havnt tried any longer ones

This could also be due to the disk not being recognized; it happens, hence the importance of updating the firmware regularly. As Shonk rightly said, I have a 10cm cable and it works perfectly.
Configuration
Asus Z890 ProArt, Intel Cpu Core Ultra 7 265K, Memoires 32Go Corsair DDR5 (6000Mhz CL30), Water-cooling Thermaright, nVidia Geforce RTX4060, Alimentation Gigabyte 850W, Samsung SSD 990 Pro, SSD9100 Pro, Clavier Razer Black Window , Souris Razer, Boitier HUMMER, HP Steelserie, Free Fibre Ultra (8Go/8Go), Lan 10Gb, Cable CAT8/7, Switch 10/5/2.5Gbps, Casque Philips Fedelis.

I have my 13cm cable that cost £1.99 from aliexpress which works perfectly fine at 40gbps transfers, its anything above that fails (0.3, 0.5, 1metre+)
This one here works fine:
Maybe USB 4/Thunderbolt 4 devices only like 10-13cm cables?
I think ill try 1-2 certified thunderbolt 4 0.3 cables, after that its probably powered thunderbolt 4 docks/hubs that's required
