Huwayy for updates!
I got my update of "Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.8773.1 WHQL"
from github.com/alanfox2000/realtek-hda-release/releases
for Windows 7 works great.. there were some no audio glitches after reboot but they eventually went away..

To save you some time, the latest Acer-specific is release 8750: either github.com/alanfox2000/realtek-hda-relea..._0712_110122-138D.7z or github.com/alanfox2000/realtek-hda-relea...D_WHQL_1253_1255.zip (you may need to try both versions to find the one that works). Alternatively, the latest generic driver (release 8765) may work for you: github.com/pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic/r...UAD-generic-8765.zip

Thanks for the FTP server, it looks like it has been removed - it just times out for me. Anyone else have this problem?

It's still working for me. Maybe try a different browser, or a dedicated FTP client such as CyberDuck ( cyberduck.io/ ).
