can I use this in my old dh67bl mobo having ALC892 Realtek audio codec?

nope - you can't use 8940 HDA unless you have a Hewlett-Packard (HP) or Compaq brand computer that uses Realtek HD audio hardware. HP seems to be releasing mostly HP specific Realtek HDA drivers that do not include the generic HDXRT.inf file - hence 8940 HDA is non-generic.

realize that new generic HDA drivers are hard to come by (the current covid-19 worldwide pandemic may be one big reason why production of new generic HDA drivers have slowed down bigtime and are much less frequent than in past several months; another reason is realtek closed off access to their ftp server [or have changed the PWs] earlier this 2020)

so expect generic HDA driver releases to be much less frequent this year
keep using 8924 FF00 HDA on the DH67BL motherboard - they're won't be any new generic HDA versions for a while

edit - I will also continue to use generic 8924 FF00 HDA on most of my desktop & laptop PCs except for the HP computer (soon to be using 8940 FF04 HDA) and my other custom built PC using a Gigabyte board (which the Gigabyte board is using 8945 UAD)

---

moving on

v6.0.8934.1 UAD from Lenovo (for Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n-1 desktop computer) ( release notes )
