I have a question. Will the Realtek HD Audio sound card with the ID below be compatible with UAD Generic drivers?
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0282&SUBSYS_10250004&REV_1000\4&1C8C67E4&0&0001

thanks

how did you work out the missing line
%Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0887&SUBSYS_1458FA1C
in HDX_GigabyteExt_RTK.inf

erpster96 wrote: ah I see, you were using pal1000's unofficial UAD drivers, MrPepka
and then reverted back to the 9003 UAD Gigabyte driver.

I, on the other hand, made unofficial UAD Gigabyte drivers of my own like 8984.1 and 9013.1
recently uploaded a few hours ago - recently tested & worked on my Gigabyte GA78LMT-USB3-R2 board
currently using 9013 uad on my Gigabyte board.
the older 8984 uad gigabyte driver might be for those users with certain Gigabyte boards (Z490 or X299X series boards) with DTS:X Ultra support

AND I ALWAYS "clean install" UAD drivers from scratch on my Gigabyte board, meaning I uninstall/remove existing UAD drivers from either the Programs & Features control panel (appwiz.cpl) or DDU (display driver uninstaller) or even DriverStore Explorer (RAPR) - removing all files & reg entries related just to Realtek audio, reboot and then install a new UAD driver version fresh and get clean working sound.

I NEVER install new UAD driver version on top of older version. NEVER!!!

---

btw, Station Drivers has the 9013 UAD MSI driver from MSI. 9013 UAD MSI driver is also listed for the new MSI Prestige 14 (11th gen Intel series) laptops like A11SCS & A11SCX in the Audio driver download section on the MSI web site

look inside the digital signature hash files - hdxrt.cat & hdxrtext.cat (aka. view them in either Notepad or Wordpad)
HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0887&SUBSYS_1458FA1C" is mentioned in the CAT files for 9013.1
Realtek adds new IDs from time to time when new UAD driver versions come out

---

just in - UAD MSI RTK & UAD MSI Nahimic drivers recently both updated to v6.0.9013.1 on the MSI web site

Hi,

I bought several years ago this motherboard ASRock H170 PRO:

www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H170%20Pro4/inde...cat=Download&os=BIOS .

Today I've formatted my PC and reinstalled all the drivers using ASRock AppShop and with extreme surprise the frontal panel doesn't recognize anymore when I plugin my headphones.

To use my headphones I have to disable the frontal panel detection from the Realtek software and this is kinda annoying to do each time.

I also tried to reinstall the Realtek driver but same problem. The headphones working only if I manually disable the detection option from the Realtek software, otherwise the computer doesn't know if I plugged in something. This also happen for the microphone (only in the front panel).

I don't think is a problem of driver though, I also tried to see if the audio cable was perfectly attached to the motherboard and I don't see any problem.

How can I fix that?

contact ASRock support and tell them about the problem you're having with your ASRock H170 pro board, alpha.

generic v6.0.8988.1 FF00 HDA X64 recently mentioned on this Station Drivers page .

original source for generic 8988 FF00 HDA X64 driver (aka. the OEM or manufacturer who has it) - Supermicro ( download from Supermicro web site

also

v6.0.8988.1 FF01 HDA 32bit & 64bit {non-generic} + Dolby driver from Lenovo ( download link 1 ) ( download link 2 ) ( download link 3 )
unlike generic 8988 FF00, 8988 FF01 is WHQL for Win7/8x/10 but for certain Lenovo machines only
