@Fraizer:
  1. When you write about "RST Firmware" you obviously mean the Intel RST SATA RAID BIOS modules with the extension *.bin or *.efi resp. *.ffs
  2. These BIOS modules are only required and used by an Intel chipset system, which contains an Intel RST RAID Array (= combination of 2 or more SATA SSDs, which is seen and handled by the OS as 1 disk). Intel chipset systems, which are running in IDE or AHCI mode, are not supported at all by these BIOS modules.
  3. If you want to update the Intel RAID modules, you have to use a BIOS Modding Tool like the UEFITool or the UEFI BIOS Updater (UBU Tool). Afterwards you have to flash the modded BIOS, which is a risky procedure.
  4. The latest available Intel RST RAID modules of the v17 platform are the v17.8.4.4671 ones and not within your linked package.

No man, once POST is over and Windows bootloader + IRST driver takes over, the IRST module is "expendable" , hehe.

The only mission of IRST module is to create one or more RAID volumes and that's all. BIOS upgrades with newer versions only adress "better suport for certain SSD units" and "·bug fixes reported when pairing X with Y and Z", a pair of CVEs and things like that.

Just keep drivers up to date (until Intel drops driver support for your chipset/PCH) and you're good to go.
