@pal1000 Thanks, you've done a great job on build 8783.1
However 8783.1 only shows up in the Realtek Audio Console. In device manager and RAPR it still shows 8779.1.

For me, it shows as 8779.1 in both instances, so not great at all. Even the INF is for 8779.1

That's the limit of what force updater can do to cheat WHQL checks without disabling driver signature enforcement. Read this issue hread to learn more.@pal1000 Thanks, you've done a great job on build 8783.1

The INF is for 8779.1 due to this , but Realtek Audio Console should report 6.0.8783.1 if force updater ran. Something is wrong at your end.For me, it shows as 8779.1 in both instances, so not great at all. Even the INF is for 8779.1

Tried it, does not work to replace 8779 to 8783. Even manually copying the files where they are needed does not make it possible to get 8783 anywhere. Not even a manual driver install will let me choose the 8783 when the files are where they should.
So maybe it just don't work for alc887.
Stuck on 8779.1 , back to the drawingboard.
