Which one would be best suited for Acer notebooks with Dolby home theater?

what kind of Acer notebook computer do you use, Blackra1n? Download & run Speccy to gather information for your Acer notebook PC.

some Acer laptops do have Dolby but others don't. a few recent Acer laptops come with Waves Maxxaudio [like Acer Predator Helios 500]. It really depends on the original specs of their laptops as you need to either check the Acer web site or read the manuals on what audio features are found.

otherwise, use the specialized / customized Realtek audio drivers provided by ACER from the Acer Support site rather than any of the FFxx drivers mentioned here.

For those using MSI boards and laptops, Microstar International [MSI] has posted the Realtek 8531 drivers yesterday:
( 8531 HDA ) ( 8531 UAD ) ( 8531 UAD Nahimic )

also I have "repacked" the 8543 HDA_UAD All OEM driver for those who want to use the recent UAD drivers rather than the generic FFxx HDA drivers

Yea sure but this msi uad driver still 8480 please check frist lol ;]

MSI have had this file listed as the 8531 UAD Nahimic driver on their website since the 28th (Sep). The non-Nahimic one seems ok though

either FF00 or FF01 (FMAPO) HDA driver will be fine. however, you will need the DolbyDigitalPlusHT.msi file from this Station drivers page (if running either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10) - or the DolbyHomeTheater.msi file from this Station drivers page (if running either Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.0).

1. install Realtek HDA FF00 or FF01 driver and reboot.
2. install Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater program [on Win8.1 or Win10] or Dolby Home Theater V4 [on Win7 or Win8.0]
