Configuration
Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Pro, Intel Cpu I7 12700K, Memoires 32Go Kingston DDR5, nVidia Geforce RTX3060, Alimentation Asus ROG 750W, Samsung SSD 990 Pro, SSD980 Pro, Clavier Roccat Vulkan , Souris Asus, Boitier Gamdias, HP Creative SB Kratos Free Fibre 5Gb Cable CAT8/7

Hello guys
I have the same question kind of, will there be any benefit performance-wise, by switching between the regular storage controllers (ie Samsung NVMe Controller, Standard NVM Express Controller, Standard SATA AHCI Controller) and using the Intel RST VMD controllers, would NVME benefit from it like will it post quicker, and the same for SATA, will it post quicker, or have any less "latency" software\hardware-wise.
Thanks in advance guys

Hi
I think for me that it depends on the disk because if you have NVMe, I advise you to keep the Microsoft one if you have Sata III, the Intel one and if you have Sata (Dvd, Cdrom, ...) the Microsoft's default drivers are sufficient
If you are on Windows 11 see 10

For the NVMe, I have the MS driver for the Samsung 980 Pro (Samsung having stopped drivers since the 980 series) and the Intel NVMe driver for the Optane
