I'm so stuck, please can anyone help?

I have two USB 3.0 SATA hard drive enclosures, and the speed seemed to not be very stable so I thought I would update the firmware.

The enclosure has the ASM1053 controller in it.

I downloaded the "asmedia_13040911DA01" firmware from this site and used the MPTool that came with it to try and program the new firmware onto the hard disk enclosure.

It performed the first two activities and got a "PASS", but when it tried to do the "Relink" stage it FAILED. 30+

Now when I plug the enclosure back into my PC Windows does not detect it at all, it doesn't show up in USB devices using "USB Device Tree Viewer", and so I don't seem to be able to try flashing it again :(

I've gone from having an intermittently slow drive, to not having a drive at all.

Anyone, please, what can I do?

Thanks!

Hello,
it is necessary to pay attention to the version and to take the good firmware under penalty of not being able to detect it if the firmware does not adapt to your devices. :(

Thank you for your reply.
So does that mean there is no way I can fix it?
