marvell_91xx_bios_2.2.0.1125 installer

Message non lupar karuton » 26 Jan 2012, 16:43

I am not able to install marvell_91xx_bios_2.2.0.1125 due to an error that the program is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. I assume this was developed on a 32-bit system. Is there any way to run this in my OS?

ALSO, I wonder if this is the correct bios I should be trying.

My System:
MOBO: Asus Rampage III Formula(I believe uses Marvell 9128 controller)
CPU: i7 990X
MEM: 12GB Dominator
SSD: Vertex 3 120 GB(very slow at the moment)

I appreciate any help that can be offered. Also, I would like to thank Station-Drivers for making all this available for us. If only the manufacturers could be half as good as you.

You would have to run this in DOS not in windows i believe, i think this update is for PCIE addon cards but i'm not sure, i don't have that controller myself so i can't try it.

@Pacman

Thank you for your reply. DOS was the key to get it working.

I tried flashing via a USD DOS Startup disk. Everything went well, until the system rebooted and the ASUS MOBO Bios reverted to the old Marvell firmware: Bios:1.0.0.1019 Firmware: 2.1.0.1413

I am thinking there is no way the effectively force the new firmware on the Rampage III's Marvell Chip.

If anyone has successfully flashed new firmware to this mobo, please let me know what steps to take.

Thank you.
