Although these new drivers work fine with my Z77 RAID system, I have realized 2 mistakes done by Intel:

1. They forgot to add the HardwareIDs for X79 chipsets within the iaStorAC.inf file.
   Bad consequence: Only the AHCI modus of X79 systems is fully supported by these drivers.
2. Intel obviously has changed the content of the iaAHCIC.inf file after having sent the driverpack to Microsoft for the WHQL certification (Intel probably added the HardwareIDs of the X79 AHCI Controller).
   Bad consequence, if I should be right: Only the RAID drivers are WHQL, the AHCI drivers not.

I'll try in my raid 0 of Crucial M4 (64Gb x 2) and I'll post the result this evening... it seems very good driver.

drivers which only contains the iaStor.sys system file?

No, all RST drivers v11.5.x.xxxx and 11.6.x.xxxx work with an AHCI/RAID driver named iaStorA.sys and an additional SCSI filter driver named iaStorF.sys - like the RSTe drivers.
The fact, that Intel now officially has included the support of X79 chipsets, lets me think, that Intel will not continue the development of any new "normal" RST driverpacks with just the iaStor.sys and no new RSTe drivers of the v3 series.

Very slight difference (IMHO for the worse) than the previous ones (driver only, x64 on ASUS P8Z68V/GEN3). Everything else being equal.

Your AS_SSD benchmark results are showing the absolute same results. If you repeat them, you will get other scores.
