Maybe this is why 11.5.0.1149 for me didn't feel right and windows seems
sluggish and hard drives seems to be doing something continually.

I just installed the drivers via Device Manager and didn`t uninstall the
previously running RST 11.1.0.1006 software first and didn`t install
the proper RST software package for 11.5.

This drivers seems to work fine for me; just a couple of issues: my drives changed name, and another annoying one, my secondary internal hard drive is now seen as removable device (with "safe remove" icon in the taskbar).
Any way to fix this? I now have the "disable write cache" in HD properties, but it can't be applied as "hardware doesn't support it"...

This is a feature of the SCSI Filter driver named iaStorF.sys.

Any way to fix this?

Actual mainboards have the BIOS Option to disable the Hot Plug ability of each Sata drive.

A little OT: 11.5 OROM is a 120k module, my Asus P6X58D-E seems to handle only 80k modules, so I have to use 10.1.0.1008 OROM. Is there a way to bypass this limitation?

If you do not have enough space within the BIOS for an actual Intel RAID OROM module, you may try to delete the ASUS Logo Screen.
